Position Summary
Reporting to the HR Resourcing & Development Manager , the position will provide assistance on Resourcing & Development activities in the Asset
Key Accountabilities
• Provide support during the Headcount planning process • Assist in the management of the relationships with Recruitment agencies including Contractor agencies • Manage the processing of New Hires and separating employees (reference checks, induction, exit procedure etc.) • Report on all Resourcing activities (Headcount, campaigns etc.) and track all recruitment activities • Assist in the management of the Nigerian Graduate program • Assist in the co-ordination of the Annual Development Review and the Annual Performance Review activities • Coordinate all training and development activities in the Asset
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attributes
• University degree or its equivalent • HR professional with adequate exposure to HR best practice. HR Generalist experience is required • IT literacy is essential • Relationship building and team working skills • Sound oral and written communication skills • Strong analytical ability • Ability to prioritize and deliver on targets • Self motivation and drive • High integrity and honesty

Our client is a new mineral exploration, mining and processing company based in Jos, Plateau State. They have recently acquired 7 exploration licenses from the government and currently mining for lead, manganese and zinc ores.
They are now seeking to recruit experienced materials and mining professionals to assist in the further development and expansion of their operations.
General Manager
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for general overseeing of people and processes on the mining and processing site. You will ensure that all projects and contracts are managed in the most effective manner and within time constraints.
You will liaise with our clients and partners in order to maintain our already established relationships. You should be commercially-savvy and skilled in finding new markets and negotiating with clients in order to increase the firm’s future revenues and overall financial expectations.
In order to be considered for this role, candidates should possess a degree in any of Geology, Metallurgy & Materials, Mechanical or Production Engineering.
You must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, of which 3 should be in a leadership capacity. Mining & minerals processing experience is a must. A working knowledge of the local language will be of advantage.
Materials Manager
Working on a major mining project, the Materials Manager will work closely with the General Manager to ensure all objectives are met and completed on time and within budget. You will develop procedures for the management of materials for site and carry out inspections as required. Additionally, you will be involved in the storage, security and issuing of materials as required.
In order to be successful in this position you will have previous experience in a similar role. Ideally with a qualification in Mining, Metallurgy, Materials or Process Engineering, you will have all the technical knowledge of materials handling.
You will also have experience in the mining industry, especially for lead, zinc, and/or copper ores etc. As you will be required to manage certain aspects of various projects, you will be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. A working knowledge of the local language will be of advantage.
